Immediate Warranty
Items covered under the Immediate Warranty coverage are the items most commonly addressed by the GW HOMES Service System. Items deemed as immediate warranty are those that are covered by the 2-10 Homebuyers Warranty that are not considered emergency items, structural items, or cosmetic defects. Examples of Immediate Warranty items are doors that are misaligned due to house settlement, window that is difficult to open or close, etc. Immediate warranty items are covered under the first year of your warranty and will be addressed free of charge unless the concern was caused by homeowner neglect or other situations that has voided your warranty. In order to report an immediate warranty item, please fill out a Customer Service Request Form and send it to GW HOMES Inc. You may fax your request to 410-643-9131, or you may mail or drop your request off at 202 St. Claire Place, Suite 100, Stevensville, MD 21666. One Year Warranty Check Up
As you settle into your new home you may discover cosmetic defects that require customer service. We like to minimize the number of visits our workers make into your home once occupied, so we ask that you keep a cumulative list of items that require attention so that we can correct everything all at once. We will schedule a One Year Warranty Check Up prior to your One Year Warranty expiration date. At this time we will make a list of warrantable items in your home that need to be corrected. We normally will be able to make all corrections within fifteen (15) business days of your 1-year anniversary. Under unusual circumstances this period may need to be extended to allow time to get parts and schedule subcontractors. The more flexible you can be on scheduling, the sooner we will be able to correct the work. This system is very important for us to be able to provide top quality service for everyone. Again, as with the regular services we do not keep keys to your home. You will be responsible for providing workers access to your home.
